Unconventional Journey of TI, Along the Memorial Sites of St. Hubert. 2024
Edition of 10
ABOUT THIS WORK
The creative journey of Vladimir Grig began with painting, graphics, and animation. Over time, the artist transitioned to a more monumental and labor-intensive mosaic technique. Later, he refined this technique by using glass resin, which allowed him to combine the richness of the color palette with the visual lightness of assembling on a canvas—traditional for painting. The use of this conventional material, which was employed both in the decoration of ancient Roman villas and in Soviet Culture Houses, is symbolic. These paintings are meticulously assembled by hand, like puzzles, creating a unique value through painstaking effort.
The artist used the painting "The Vision of Saint Hubert", created by Jan Brueghel the Elder in collaboration with Peter Paul Rubens, in their work.
